Along the way, Tom saw firsthand how broken expense tracking was - from the C-suite down to incumbent solutions that focus on approvals and reimbursement, not receipt chaos.

Is Terrapin safe to use with my bank and email?

Yes. We use encrypted OAuth connections (no passwords), Plaid for bank-level security, and are SOC 2 Type II compliant. You stay in control of your data at all times.

Can I use Terrapin if I mix personal and business spending?

Absolutely. Our classification engine is built for the real world - where not every card is strictly business. You can label, tag, and filter easily.

What kinds of receipts are supported?

Email receipts (and invoces), PDFs, photos, Google SMS, even calendar event expenses. If it’s a receipt, we’ll work with it.

Do I still need an accountant or tax software?

Terrapin doesn’t replace your accountant - but it makes their job (and yours) way easier. You’ll spend less time chasing receipts and more time deducting them.
